Aperture, an attack on Adobe?

I was really surprised when I saw this on Apple’s homepage. I was not expecting this to happen until Adobe would plan to stop making Mac applications. Why the attack on Adobe, Apple? Aperture looks nice, and looks like it has a nice user interface and easy and is a complex editor. If I was pro, I would probably get Apple’s product over Adobe’s. Sometimes, Adobe seems to work so hard on the complex and difficult things, that they forget to work on simple stuff. Aperture looks great, but comes with a $500 price tag. 😮 Anyways, I think this is a scary move for Apple, and may damage the relationship with Apple and Adobe. I hope not, though. I guess Apple wants to get into the Pro market, with their Final Cut Studio and now Aperture.
